The IBSD, Shillong, distributed the institute made face masks to the local taxi drivers

Shillong, July 31: The Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (DBT-IBSD), Shillong, Meghalaya, distributed the institute made face masks to the local taxi drivers at the Upper Shillong area and Mylliem village.

The initiative of distribution of face masks was taken up under the guidance of the Director, IBSD, Prof. Pulok K. Mukherjee with an aim to protect COVID-19 frontline workers. The Mask materials were procured by the DBT-IBSD, Meghalaya centre and stitched by the Convent Sisters of St Margaret, Shillong.

It may be noted here that DBT-IBSD centres in different parts of North East India are actively participating and serving the society during COVID-19 scenario. The Institute will continue its distribution to the city’s numerous front-liners.
