Shillong, Lber 11: The goodwill delegation from the North East Sports Association formerly North East Olympic Association comprising of Shri. John F Kharshiing, Secretary General, NESA and Working President, Meghalaya State Olympic Association and Shri. Bamang Tago, Secretary General, Arunachal Pradesh Olympic Association, presently camping in Tripura as observers of the NESA met Prof (Dr) Manik Saha, Chief Minister of Tripura.
They also met Shri. Tinku Roy, Minister Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of Tripura and leaders of the Tripura State Olympic Association and Tripura Olympic Association including officers from the officers from Department of Youth Affairs and Sports and Tripura Sports Council.
In their stay in Tripura there meeting including all stakeholders, coaches Athletes, and prominent Medal Winners to observe and listen as to how Tripura athletes could participate at the 3rd North East Games 2024 schedule to be held in Nagaland from18 to 23 March 2024.
In view of the existence of parallel state sports associations, the observers will be submitting their reports to the North East Sports Association (NESA) and Nagaland Olympic Association for their final consideration said Mr. John Kharshiing Secretary Genenral of the North East Sports Association in the Press statement.
