Shillong, June 09: The Union minister for Road Transport Highways and shipping Government Of India Mr Nitin Gadkari has written to the MP from Tura Mr Conrad K Sangma, informing him that from the ministry has deposited the amount of Rs.390.51 cores with the Deputy Commissioner Revenue East Garo Hills District.
The disbursement to the affected person is to be done by the state government of Meghalaya. However from the ministry is actively perusing the matter with the state government to expedite the disbursement of compensation to the land owners. The letter was sent to the MP of Tura on the 17th May 2017.
