Ampati, April 5: As part of its disaster preparedness plan and to respond to any emergency situation in the district, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), South West Garo Hills, has activated its Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) in the Deputy Commissioner’s office building, Ampati and Incidence Response Teams (IRTs) have been put in place with immediate effect.
The DDMO & DEO and EAC in-charge Disaster Management will be available in the EOC and in case of any natural calamity in the district they can be contacted at 9402305902, 9612579360 and 9436114478.
Further, in view of heavy rain alert from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the general public has been advised to take necessary precautionary measures and all officers of the concerned departments have been asked to remain alert and to remain in station without fail.
