Shillong, Jan 20: Soon after the tragic demise of Williamnagar resident Sengsrang B Marak in a heinous road rash case, Meghalaya TMC Candidate and Williamnagar MDC Alphonsush R Marak reached out to the grieving family and stood with them in their hour of grief.
According to news reports, the deceased was rammed over by a car this week following which he succumbed to injuries. The incident, which took place outside the Williamnagar supermarket area.
This has created furore amongst the locals as Ruchil C Marak, was allegedly driving the car that hit the deceased. While Marak had earlier been arrested, he was reportedly released on bail today.
The victim, who worked as a labourer at a nursery near Willamnagar station, is survived by his wife, and two minor daughters studying in Class 6 and 8. After visiting the victim’s family, Meghalaya TMC leader Alphonsush R Marak said that the unfortunate demise has left bruises upon the family that can’t be healed and assured to remain by their side during this difficult hour.
As the family comes to terms with this huge loss, Meghalaya TMC stands in solidarity with the kin of the deceased and vows to join them in their fight for justice.
