Shillong, Octo 01: Immortalized on reel, the footprints of Mahatma Gandhi left on the history of the Nation was today showcased through the screening of documentary films on the Mahatma at U Soso Tham Auditorium, Shillong.
The two days film screening which will culminate tomorrow, the 2nd Of October marking the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi was organised by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Meghalaya in collaboration with Synod College, Shillong.
The programme saw the enthusiastic participation of hundreds of students from different schools and colleges of the city who, during the day witnessed the five documentaries screened on the first day. The films which focused on Mahatma Gandhi’s life and philosophy aim to propagate his message of peace, cleanliness and non-violence.
