Shillong, Jan 15: The Chief Secretary of Meghalaya today has issued an order in pursuance of the order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court that transportation of coal in the state of Meghalaya is hereby stopped with immediate effect.
This is the order given by the Chief Secretary “In pursuance of the directions of the Hon’ble supreme court of India in its sitting today 15.01.2019 as communicated by the learned Advocate General, Government of Meghalaya, and transportation of coal in the state of Meghalaya is hereby stopped with immediate effect”.
“All authorities concerned are hereby directed to ensure compliance of the aforesaid direction of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India without fail”, said the Chief Secretary of Meghalaya, Mr Y.Tsering Chief Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya in the order issued today.
