Shillong, July 19: The Director of Meghalaya Health services Dr Aman War inform that the funeral of Mr Banteilang R Sungkai was done today at Mawlieh Village in Ri Bhoi District and the cremation of Mr Nandeshwar Duery was done today at the crematorium at Mawbah in Mawprem.
Dr War said that Mr Banteilang returned from Kolkatta and he was in the quarantine centre during his stay he complaints that he has pain on his stomach on the right side and he was taken to NEIGRIHMS hospital on 5th July 2020, he was taken the sample of RTPRC and he was tested Positive.
During his stay in NEIGRIHMS he developed diarrhea and kidney injury, on the 17 and 18 he was tested for COVID-19 and both the test come out Negative but on the evening of 18 he developed sudden onset respiratory and he expired at 11.56 pm last night.
Mr Nandeshwar Duery was tested with COVID-19 Positive on 4th July 2020, he was taken to Composite Hospital of the BSF, latter he was taken to Civil Hospital Shillong due but on 13th July 2020 he was taken to NEIGRIHMS for treatment, but on early morning today he developed respiratory distress syndrome and expired at 2 AM in the morning.
The Director of Meghalaya Health services said that this was the information provided by the NEIGRIHMS hospital Shillong on the death of the two person who expired from COVID-19 today.
