Shillong, August 15: Two Meghalaya home Guards confers with President Medal on the 73rd Independence Day, they are Lambert Marbaniang, Inspector and Mr Kholindro D. Sangma, Havildar.
Both of them they are from Border Wing Home Guards Battalion, Mawdiangdiang, Shillong have been awarded the Home Guards and Civil Defence Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of 73rd Independence Day Celebrations.
The duo are amongst only four other recipient of this Medal from the Civil defence and Home Guards Organisation from the North East, this Independence Day. Assam and Tripura have one medal winner each.
