Voluntary Blood Donation Camp Held at Ampati Civil Hospital SWGH District

Ampati, Oct 15: In a life-saving initiative to promote voluntary blood donation and strengthen access to safe blood for patients in need, Ampati Civil Hospital, South West Garo Hills, organised a blood donation camp on Thursday in collaboration with Tura Blood Centre, Tura Civil Hospital, West Garo Hills.

Held at Ampati Civil Hospital from 10 AM to 3 PM, the camp aimed to encourage community participation in voluntary blood donation and raise awareness about its vital role in healthcare.

Donated blood is essential for treating accident victims, mothers during childbirth, children suffering from anaemia and other illnesses, cancer patients, and individuals undergoing surgery. Voluntary blood donation helps ensure that safe blood is available when emergencies arise and transfusions become necessary.

The initiative also highlighted the importance of community involvement in supporting healthcare services, with healthy individuals encouraged to come forward and contribute to this life-saving cause.

With the message “Give Blood, Save Lives,” the camp called on the public to embrace voluntary blood donation as a simple yet meaningful act that can make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
