Tura April 21: The police today come to know that the GNLA leaders Philliport and Jimmy were having a picnic near the Jolding Lake which is 8 to 9 km from Resubelpara North Garo Hills District.
On getting the information the police team was sent to the area, while they were on the way to Jolding Lake the militant group fire at the police team. The police retaliated at the militant.
There was heavy exchange of firing between the police and the militant groups, in this encounter no casualty occurred from either side. The combing operation was on in the area to nap the militant.(SP News)
