Williamnagar November 25: The Working President of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) Mrs Debora Marak said “I did not expect that I am still alive, thank God”. This incident took place at Rongbinggre village in East Garo Hills.
Speaking to SP News Agency over phone she said that a group of person comes near her while she was with the public at a meeting place asking her to live the place, and suddenly they manhandle her but by the grace of God she is still alive, she said.
While answering to queries she said that till today she cannot say who these people were, she can’t say until and unless they claim that they were so and so. When asked if they are members of the ANVC, she said she cannot say because till today no one has claim.
At this juncture she cannot say anything but she only thank the almighty that he still protect her from the danger that she encounter in her lives.
The Congress leader will contest coming election to the, nine Meghalaya Legislative Assembly from that area. Mrs Marak has gone to the village be the chief quest of the football Tournament. But sadly this incident took place.(SP News)
