Shillong, Aug 22:This is for the general information that an online system on ‘Immigration, Visa, Foreigner’s & Tracking(IVFRT)’ System under the National e-Governance Plan(NeGP) was launched today the 21st August, 2014 by Shri P.J.P. Hanaman, IPS, Director General of Police, Meghalaya in presence of Senior Police Officers and officials from N.I.C at N.I.C Conference Hall, Shillong. The online Software which aims to enhance the experience of in-bound and out-bound foreigners will be operated from the Foreigner’s Registration Office, SP’s Office, Shillong under the guidance of Bureau of Immigration(BOI),Government of India through NIC, Shillong.
The Salient features of the Systems are (1) On-line visa application system (2) Immigration Control System Software(Passenger Checking, look out Circular, loss of Passport, Flight management etc) (3) Central LOC module(look out Circular regarding opening, deletion or modification of Look Out Circular) (4) C-FRO Module (On-line submission of application for Registration) (5) On-line filling of ‘C’ Forms(by Hotels, Guest Houses, Hospitals and Dharamshala Owner) and (6) S-Form module (for tracking of foreign students studying in Indian Institutes).
