Shillong, April 19: The 84th Annual Athletic Sports Meet of St Anthonys Higher Secondary School kick started at ground the Don Bosco, mini stadium on Friday.
The annual athletic sports meet themed ‘Make It Happen’ was inaugurated by Sports and Youth Affair Minister Zenith M. Sangma and Urban Affair Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh.
Speaking at the occasion the Chief Guest Zenith M. Sangma urged the youth to be more active
in sports. He stated that it essential for the young generation to get involve in sports to stay healthy.
According to him he feels that with the advent of technology the youth have become unhealthy and thus exercise and sports should be encouraged.
Various sports activities is being conducted during the sports meet.
The athletic meet saw the participation of 21 schools in an around the city.(SP News)
