Shillong, Nov 29: The Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Mr AT Mondal, who is the chairman of the Meghalaya Legisltive Forum on HIV Adis said that they will continued with the forum and the contribution from the members one lakh each to the Meghalaya Aids Control Society will continued.
Speaking to SP News Agency the Speaker said that form the last house the record show s MACS received the amount only from eight MLA. From his side he, personally call the Deputy Commissioner of the concern District to fine out where is the problem.
All MLAs is contributing one lakh each from the SRWP scheme to the Forum and this money can be used in creating awareness among the public about the danger of Aids. This forum is not only in Meghalaya but even the parliament constituted the forum.
The Speaker said that from his side will take up the issue with the government so that the amount will be deducted at sources with out sending to Deputy Commissioners.(SP News)
