Shillong, Nohprah 19: The District Coordinator of Ri-Bhoi District, Christian Medical Association of India (CMAI), conducted, a review meeting for the members of Society for Promotion of Indigenous Knowledge and Practice (SPIKAP) Rural Health Care Providers the meeting was held at Umsning Dorbar Hall, Ri Bhoi District.
The Rural Health Care Providers were given a presentation by the Dr S Lyngdoh, District TB Officer & District Malaria Officer of Ri-Bhoi Distict, Department of Health Govt of Meghalaya district.on the topic Tuberculosis MTB, or TB (short for tubercle bacillus) and to sustain the engagement of Rural Health Care Providers(RHCP) in supporting RNTCP services and to develop a sustainable relationship between District RNTCP and RHCP and AYUSH.
The SPIKAP members expressed appreciation for the seminar which would further capacitate and help them in understanding the various approaches of the Health care challenges and also for the need of the Health Department to engage with the Traditional and Rural Health Care Providers, there were 31 participants who represented 15 villages under Ri-Bhoi district.
The SPIKAP members also thanked CMAI for arranging such seminars and hoped that more such interactions are held in various C&RD Blocks for the benefit of the rural people of Meghalaya.(SP News)
