Shillong, Jan 15: The Office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E), Meghalaya, Shillong, today launched the Online Pension Application Module, a new digital facility integrated with the existing e-Pension portal.
The module was inaugurated by Shri L. Hangsing, Principal Accountant General (A&E), Meghalaya, in the presence of Shri Swapnil Tembe, Secretary (Finance–Pension), Government of Meghalaya; Shri B. L. Nonglait, Director of Accounts & Treasuries, Government of Meghalaya; Shri Benos Lyngskor, Scientist (F), NIC, Shillong, and other dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri L. Hangsing highlighted that the launch of the Online Pension Application Module marks a significant milestone in the Office’s digital transformation journey towards end-to-end digitisation of the pension process. He stated that the initiative would enhance transparency in service delivery, reduce paperwork, minimize processing delays, and provide a seamless experience for pension applicants.
Shri Swapnil Tembe appreciated the initiative and assured full support from the Government of Meghalaya for its effective implementation and usage.
The Online Pension Application Module enables State Government employees, All India Service (AIS) officers, and family members of deceased employees to submit pension applications anytime and from anywhere through a secure and user-friendly digital platform.
The key features of the module include online submission of pension forms, digital uploading of documents, real-time tracking of application status, and faster processing of pension cases.
