Shillong, April 25: The BJP Meghalaya held protest marches at various locations in Shillong, demanding that the opposition parties support the 33% Women Reservation that had been tabled in the Parliament recently.
The protest at the City’s nerve centre, Khyndailad, was led by BJP Meghalaya Mahila Morcha President Smt Arena Hynniewta; East Khasi Hills District President Priambadah Blah and other members of the women team were also in attendance.
Smt Hynniewta expressed confidence that the Modi Ji led Central Govt. would be successful gifting the 33% reservation to women of India.
Another rally also was held by BJP women members near Polo which saw State secretaries Smt Daniela Nonglait, Smt Susuki Pariat and Angie Sangma as participants.
Women members of BJP Meghalaya have decided to continue with their demands until the 33% reservation in legislative bodies is granted to all women of India.
