Shillong, April 27: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), India has instituted a short film competition on human rights in the year 2015. For its 12th edition in the year 2026, online entries are invited from the citizens of the country irrespective of any age group.
The prize money for the first, second and third best film will be Rs. 2 lakh, Rs. 1 lakh 50 thousand and Rs. 1 lakh respectively.
The Commission, in addition to these three cash awards, certificates and trophies, may also consider giving a ‘Certificate of Special Mention’ along with a cash prize of Rs.50,000/- each to a maximum of four films, if so recommended by the Jury.
The last date for receiving entries is 30th June, 2026. Entries have to be sent online at nhrcshortfilm@gmail.com, using Google drive.
