Reserve Bank of India conducts awareness programme for officials SWGH district

Ampati, July 14: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Shillong Office, on Tuesday conducted an Awareness-cum-Sensitization Programme for officials of the District Administration, South West Garo Hills, at Ampati.

The programme was part of the RBI’s ongoing efforts to enhance awareness among State Government officials regarding the country’s financial regulatory framework. It covered permissible and regulated financial activities, the provisions governing such operations, and the measures required to identify and prevent unauthorized financial activities.

Officials from the District Administration attended the session and were briefed on key aspects of financial regulation, the RBI’s role in maintaining financial stability, and the importance of ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations.

The interactive programme also provided participants with an opportunity to raise queries with RBI officials and gain a clearer understanding of financial governance and consumer protection.

The programme concluded with both the District Administration and the RBI reaffirming their commitment to promoting financial awareness and regulatory compliance among government officials.
