Shillong, Oct 31: Re-affirming its unwavering commitment to the ideals of national unity, integrity and collective strength. A spirited ‘Run for Unity’ was organized on 31st October 2026 to mark Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day). The run was flagged from the premises of the LPG Bottling Plant at Umiam. The event witnessed an enthusiastic participation of employees, security personnel and other stakeholders from the nearby localities.
The occasion commemorated the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, whose visionary leadership played an instrumental role in integrating the princely states into the Indian Union.
Reflecting the spirit of this year’s observance, the initiative also served as a tribute to the Bravehearts who tirelessly safeguard the nation’s unity and security.
