Shillong, May 16: The two day long Station Commanders’ Conference of Air Force Stations under Eastern Air Command (EAC) concluded here on today. Air Marshal RK Sharma AVSM VM Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command, in his closing address, expressed his satisfaction on the operational preparedness and the flight safety record of all Operational Units under EAC. He congratulated the Commanders on their sterling performance during the last financial year and exhorted them to continue to strive for excellence in all spheres of Operations, Maintenance and Administration. He also gave away the Trophies to EAC Commanders in appreciation of the outstanding work done by them in various fields. Smt Chitralekha Sharma, President Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Regional) presided over a Meeting attended by its Executive Members and Presidents of AFWWA (Local) of Station under Eastern Air Command. She reviewed the welfare projects related to the families of the Air Warriors and the programme of Umeed Schools which caters to the educational facilities for needy and differently abled children.(SP News)
