Shillong, June 24: Air Force Wives Welfare Association Declamation Contest at Regional Level was organized on 24 June 2013 at Meghalaya Hall of Headquarters Eastern Air Command, IAF, Upper Shillong.
Twenty two children from the entire Eastern Air Command Region participated in the contest. The contest was open to children of Air Force Wives Welfare association members who are studying from Class IX to XII.
Mrs Kamalpreet Dhanoa, Vice President Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Regional) was the Chief Guest for the event. She gave away the trophies and certificates to the participants. . As stated by Group Captain Amit Mahajan Defence PRO, Shillong.
Miss Shilpa Choudhary of Kendriya Vidyalaya Hasimara, Miss Pooja of KV Bagdogra and Miss Ruchi Singh of Army Public School, Shilling were declared First, Second and Third in Hindi Declamation Contest. Miss Sarleen Kaur of KV Salua, Miss Sakshi Amba of KV Barrackpore and Miss Akankshsa Singh of KV Tezpur bagged the First, Second and Third in English Declamation Contest. The winners shall now represent Eastern Air Command in Declamation Contest to be held at New Delhi at the AFWWA Central level.(SP News)
