Shillong, May 16: The Governor of Meghalaya today has appointed Dr. Laija Ram Bishnoi IPS as he Director General of Police Government of Meghalaya, the state government has issue the notification today.
In the notification issued today stated that from the empanelled list of IPS officer duly recommended by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in its meeting held on 9th February 2022.
In the interest of public service, the Governor of Meghalaya is please to appoint Dr. Laija Ram Bishnoi, IPS of 1991, Special Director general of police (Training and Armed Police) Assam, Guwahati as director general of police of Meghalaya from the date of taking over charge and until further order.
