Shillong sept 23: The All India Radio, Shillong invites application for the engagement of Part Time Correspondents (PTCs) one post each on contractual basis from candidates residing at the following places – Nongstoin, Mawkyrwat, Khliehriat, Jowai, Nongpoh, Resubelpara, Williamnagar, Tura and Ampati.
The essential qualifications are,PG Diploma and Degree in Journalism and Mass Media or Graduate with minimum two years journalistic experience ,Age limit of 24 to 45 years, Should reside at the district headquarters or within a radius of 10 Kms from the district Headquater and Municipal limit in the district for which he and she is being engaged. The desirable qualifications are, Knowledge of computers & word processing,Possession and access to camera/equipment for television coverage, Experience of visual coverage.
Persons already in government services, Central and State governments and Administration of the Union Territory or in any Public Service Undertaking (PSU) and member of any political party will not be considered for appointment as Part Time Correspondent.
