Ampati, Sept 02: The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, South West Garo Hills, Ampati, has informed the general public that any Association, Organisation, Society or other entity intending to organise a Raffle,Lucky Draw is required to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Director, Meghalaya State Lottery, Shillong, prior to conducting such activities.
The Meghalaya State Lottery, Shillong, has introduced a prescribed Application Form for obtaining the NOC for the conduct of Raffle/Lucky Draws by private organisations under the Lotteries (Regulation) Act, 1998 and the Lotteries (Regulation) Rules, 2010.
The prescribed Application Form may be obtained from the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, South West Garo Hills, Ampati. Applicants are required to duly fill in the form and submit it, along with all requisite documents, to the Office of the Director, Meghalaya State Lottery, Nokrek Building, Room No. 402, Lower Lachaumiere, Shillong–793001, for necessary processing.
The Deputy Commissioner has advised all concerned to obtain the requisite NOC before organising or conducting any Raffle/Lucky Draw, in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations.
The notice is issued in the interest of proper documentation, scrutiny and compliance with the statutory requirements governing such activities.
