Shillong, June 6: Moving towards a noble cause, St Anthony’s School alumni felt the need of uniting together by coming under one banner of the alumni association whereby whatever they have acquired during their school days they can give back to the society by contributing their good deeds towards the welfare of their student’s friend as well as to the society as a whole .
In order to do that the first general meeting of past pupil will be held with an aimed to maintain a link between all past pupils of the school. The meeting which will be dealt on various objectives will be held on june 15 at Anton Hall.
The various objectives will set as top priority of within the association and that is to assist any past pupil if require any help, to serve the youth through appropriate programme and work towards uplifting the underprivilege.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday K Srivastava adhoc president informed that as of now there is no proper association of past pupil.
“This meeting aimed to maintain a link between all past pupils of the school,” Srivastava said.
It was also informed that named which will be given for the past pupil association is St Anthony’s School Past Pupil Association ( SASPPA).
Srivastava also informed that any past pupil who is interested to join the association can avail the registration form from the school office at a cost of 100 rupees.
It was also informed that during the meeting there will be a discussion of drafting the constitution of the association besides electing formal members of the association.
Meanwhile, it was also told that even girls past pupil will also be part of the alumni. It was also informed that the first co-ed batch of the school was inducted in the year 2004 therefore any girl students who past out from the school can also join the association.
Interestingly the past pupil who is taking the initiative are those who are currently serving as teachers in St Anthony’s School.(SP News)

I’m really glad to hear bout this step taken up. To be honest, it literally took my thoughts back to those school days. Of course, on my part, I have the full heart of tryin’ to get myself registered. What is troublin’ me is will I get time to go to Shillong, as I am out of station. As for the June 15th event, I have a feelin’ that I ‘d be able to be present. Was wondering if an online registration thing could be arranged.
