Shillong, June 07: Mr Subhasish Choudhury Media Cell Convener of the BJP Meghalaya state Unit said that The entire affair of the State Government is going bad to-worst. There is not even a single success story of the existing state Government for which the people of the state can appreciate.
The Law and Order situation is totally in a doldrums. The recent situation in Garo hills has again proved that the Government of the day has failed to check insurgency in the state and there is no security for the life of common men. It seems that state Government is not at all sincere for curving the insurgency in the state.
The Chief Minister who spend most of his time in Delhi finally has admitted the presence of Assam based militants in Meghalaya, admitted the influx of the people with doubtful citizenship, and foreign nationals poses a threat of the democratic to the state in reality has taken very less interest to take constructive measures to the subject stated above. “We strongly believe that Chief Minister has shed crocodile tears”.
After, a woman MLA was first assigned as a Home Minister of the state it was expected that a women in the state will get better protection and the crime against women will get fast justice which she mentioned in her first interaction with the media that FAST TRACK COURT will give justice to the women, but today it seems that crime against women has increased. Even in the home constituency of Chief Minister in Ampati, a rape case of a minor was registered, but it is surprising that the accused police officer who was supposed to be under lock – up (custody) was kept in the police quarter from where he gave a escape, this has raised an eyebrow over the police department.
The Home Minister’s statement has proved to be a mere false promise as even a minor girl who was a victim of rape could not get immediate justice , and the accused is moving freely . The Home Minister of Meghalaya has therefore totally failed in her tall claims to give women of the State a justice.
Another issue which is making the news through out the country is the Food Security bill which the UPA Government is trying to bring an ordinance. In Meghalaya which is almost governed by the Congress Party since its inception failed totally to implement the public distribution system even sugar has gone out from the ration card holder.
How the common people be sure that the Food Security Bill will provide the better system for distributing the essential food item at less rate? All the central Government Scheme be it the Meghalaya Health Insurance Scheme or even Farmer loans have totally failed in the State due to non efficient Ministers.
The condition of the education system has gone so bad that people of the State is ashamed, the recent incident of the private universities is glowing example. Shillong which ones was one of the best educational hubs today is known for universities issuing fake certificate. But the State Government is yet to collect the anomalies in the educational system.(SP News)
