Tura, June 05: Suspected Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) today in the morning around 7.45 am burns the passenger Bus of the Meghalaya Transport Corporation (MTC) at Nengsa Wakse near Bajengdoba in West Garo Hills District.
The MTC Bus is coming from Tura towards Shillong but when it reached Nengsa four to five people stop the bus and begin to fire from their AK.47 on the air. They asked the entire passenger move out of the vehicles and they burn the Bus.
The Police believes that this was the handiwork of the GNLA group, the police also strongly belief that firing might be done by the militant but burning of the bus probably done by the over ground supporter of the GNLA.
When the police got the information they rushed to the spot and the combing operation is on to nap the culprit police said.(SP News)
