Shillong, August 16: Meghalaya Speaker Mr. Thomas A Sangma today sent his condolence message to the daughter of the former Chief Minister late Salseng C Marak Smti Silje K. Sangma expressed his saddened on his demised.
In the condolence message the Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly said that “I am deeply shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of your father, Late Salseng C. Marak, a remarkable leader and former Chief Minister of Meghalaya, who passed away on 16th August, 2024”.
His unwavering dedication to the people of our State and his significant contributions to the community will always be remembered. When he was the Chief Minister of the State from 1993 to 1998.
The Speaker mention that he had the privilege of associating with him as a young Party worker of the Congress Party. During his tenure, Mr. Marak exemplified remarkable leadership, integrity, vision, and service.
He played a vital role in the advancement of Meghalaya, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time.
