Shillong April 26: President of the Shillong Sports Association (SSA), Banteidor Lyngdoh, has extended his best wishes to Mawlai SC as the club prepares to compete in the upcoming I-League 3, scheduled to begin on April 27 in Manipur.
Mawlai SC, the reigning champions of the Meghalaya State League (MSL), have been one of the most dominant teams in recent years, also enjoying strong performances in the Shillong Premier League.
Lyngdoh described the club’s qualification as a moment of pride for both the SSA and the Shillong football community, noting that their participation at the national level reflects the growing standard of football in the state.
He expressed hope that Mawlai SC’s journey in I-League 3 will inspire young footballers across Meghalaya to pursue the sport with dedication and ambition.
