Shillong, May 15: An HNLC Cadre, a 2002 batch, Shri Wanbor Khardewsaw alias Lung alias William S/o Shri From Lympuin of Pyndensohsaw, Mawsynram, East Khasi Hills, Shillong surrendered before the Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, Shillong on 14th May 2014.
It may be mentioned that Shri Wanbor Khardewsaw managed to escape the Police ambush on 08/05/14 at Lad Balki, Dangar while he was moving in a bike alongwith another HNLC cadre Shri Wansing Umlong know as Muh. Though Shri Wansing Umlong or Muh was arrested on the day.
Later, Shri Wanbor Khardewsaw know as Lung and William surrendered himself on 14/05/2014. While at Bangladesh, the subject was the personal security of the self styled Commander-in-Chief, Bobby Marwein. He surrendered without arms.(SP News)
