Amika of Auxillium Girls’ HSS, Shillong bagged the top first ten on the HSSLC

Shillong, May 19: Amika K War of Auxillium Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Shillong bagged the top first ten position with a total of 431 marks, second position bagged by Bethea Meba Aihun K Sohkhlet of St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School with a total of 424 marks and Kritika Goenka of St. Mary’s College got the third position with total of 420 marks.

Speaking to this reporter Amika K War the first position holder said, “I really did not expect but yes I had faith in myself and accordingly I worked hard. It would not be possible without the support of my mom, aunt my cousins and also my school which has given me such success.”

“If you work hard, pay attention to what you are feeling and give your heart and soul to what you are reading, you can achieve anything in life,” Amika said.

Amika further said, “I was a pessimist and I did not expect be at the top position but today i have learnt that we need to be an optimist and  have faith and believe in ourself.”

When asked what her message to others Amika said is, “Stay away from destructions, pay attention to every detail that is taught in the class, and while studying focus on the important points, be smart to pick the way of studying.(SP News)
