Shillong,July 28: On the demise of the Meghalaya Speaker Dr Donkupar Roy , the Governor of Meghalaya Tathagata Roy said that he was deeply saddened to know of the unfortunate and untimely death of Dr Donkupar Roy, he was the speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly and former Chief Minister of Meghalaya and the President of the United Democratic Party.
The Chief Minister of Meghalaya Mr Conrad K Sangma also expresses his sadness, he said he was deeply saddened by the demise of the Speaker u Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Dr Donkupar Roy, we have lost a leader, a mentor, who has dedicated his life for the service of the People. May the almighty provide strength to his family in his hour of grief.
