Shillong, June 18: The Chief Executive members of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council today present the deficit budget of Rs. 27610/- for the financial year 2013-2014. In his budget speech Mr P N Syiem CEM said that the tentative expenditure for the financial year will be Rs. 88, 22, 39,630/- and the anticipate revenue receipt will be Rs.88,22.12.020/- and the deficit will be Rs.27610/-
In the detail budget estimate and expenditure it shows that the major head of revenue that the KHADC will received are from the licenses fees which is expected to touched Rs.1.35 core, share from minerals is Rs.15.25 cores, from professional Tax will be Rs.7.5 cores.
With the revision of pay to the staff of the KHADC the major share of the budget will be use for the payment of salaries to the staff of the office and the arrears due to them. Apart from that development activities of the council also will continue. (SP News)
