Shillong, June 29: Rotary Club Shillong Heritage (RCSH) inaugurated its WINS (Wash In School) Project at the Loreto Convent School on the 29th of June, 2020 at 10.00 am. Under the Rotary Water and Sanitation Programme.
The Programme was inaugurated by the Hon’ble District Governor of RI District 3240, Rtn Dr. Debasish Das who was the Chief Guest and Sr. Mercia D’Souza , the Principal of Loreto Convent School, Shillong, who was the Guest of Honour.
The President of the RCSH Rtn. Gideon Kharmawphlang, I.A.S. and the Members of the Club were also present. This WINS Programme was the beginning of a long term commitment of the RCSH towards the dissemination of Community awareness of hygiene.
The RCSH and service in the present COVID situation RCSH is also commited towards the development of leadership skills and community service in young minds and hearts towards which the Club has also initiated the establishment of the INTERACT Club in the School.
The Process for the same is almost completed and both the Club and the School are eagerly awaiting the receipt of the Certificate from RI South Asia Office. The Interact Club will be styled Interact Club of Loreto Convent School.
