Shillong, August 23: The Police of East Khasi Hills District base on the anonymous letter drop by unknow people in the office of one Khasi Daily News paper today conducted search at the location in Wahumkhrah river where the three INSAS rifle throw away on the 15th August 2021.
Base on the information that the three INSAS rifles which were stolen from Mawkynroh-Umshing Out Post on the 15th August 2021 have been recovered today from Wah Umkhrah by the Search and Rescue Team (SRT) of the Fire and Emergency Services and the District Police of East Khasi Hills.
The Meghalaya Police wholeheartedly expresses its sincere gratitude to the Rangbah Shnong of Mawlai Town Dorbar and Dorbar Shnong Jaiaw Pyllun for their continuous support.
Meghalaya Chief Minister has made an appeal to thus person who have taken the arms to please inform by writing letter just inform where they have kept the arms, the government need the arms not the identity of the people.
Bas on the appeal of the Chief Minister, one anonymous letter was drop at the office of one local daily news papers informing the location where the police today made a search and recovered all the three INSAS Riffle from the location.
