Shillong, May 15: All thus student who applied for MBBS studies from the government quota have to pass the entrance test so that they can be selected for the Course. Student will be selected not on their merit list as per the reservation policy of the state government of Meghalaya.
Sources from the health Department government of Meghalaya said that earlier student where selected from the state quota for MBBS studies base on their merit but now student who applied for MBBS studies has to pass the entrance test exam.
Sources told SP News Agency that many student who got with higher mark in their secondary school leaving Certificate should be surprise if they where not selected for the course if they fail in the entrance test. (SP News)

So in other words if the test is not conduct by government of Meghalaya and if the students from Meghalaya has to pass the exam like NEET than it means that the tribal students from Meghalaya has to compete with general catagory (not being counted as Sixth Schedule), Meghalaya Government is not going to follow the 40% 40% job reservation policy anymore.
What if the tribal students from meghalaya who pass the entrance test is not enough to fill the seats reserved by Meghalaya government for students from Meghalaya? Is this new pololicy is also going to used for recruiting tribal Meghalayan for Meghalayan government jobs by not following the 40% job policy?
What about students who wanted to apply for engineering, will they need to pass IIT exam? Government has started the policy with medical students, why not with them?
clear picture on this issue will be in next few days, the sp news agency will continued to follow the story for the public interest thank fro your query till now is not yet clear weather this competition will be among tribal or with the general keep on thanks Editor
