Shillong, April 23: Bihar Diwas was observed today under the banner of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat by BJP Unit of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat at BJP State Office, Shillong in the presence of BJP State President, Shri Ernest Mawrie, Office Bearers, State Executive members and other karyakartas alongwith the Bihari community in the spirit of brotherhood and unity.
Mr. Mawrie highlighted the achievements of the Bihari community and emphasised upon their contribution in nation building. Four achievers of the Bihari community along with huge number of the community were felicitated on this occasion.
Poetry recitation and speech on the tradition and culture of Bihar by participants were the other highlight of the programme. Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat is a Govt of India initiative launched by our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas which is the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
This programme enhances and strengthens the bonding and understanding between citizens so that this understanding resonates in the entire country. Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat encourages the sharing of our best practices and in our country which is so rich in its diversity.
