Tura, July 22: The Border Security Force (BSF) team from Tura intercepted a Alto car bearing number AS-01-AZ-2930 on Tura –Dalu road and seized 500 Bottles of Phensedyl and nabbed four Phensedyl smugglers namely Nazimuddin, Anwar Hussain, Ziarul Haque, and Noor Islam, all from Howli, from Barpeta District of Assam.
The BSF also ceased Indian currency- Rs.. 3160/- , Mobiles- 04 Nos, Driving licence- 02 Nos, & PAN Card No –ABZPU426ZG and SBI ATM card No 4691510067555834 were recovered from their possession. One of the apprehended namely Nazimuddin possessed identity Card of Indian youth Congress.
Apprehender revealed that the consignment was to be delivered to one Hirul Mandal of Cherringpara village of Gasuapara, of South garo Hills District. The BSF along with the police raided the group who involved in the smuggling which let to the arrest of one Bishin Sangma of Cherringpara village.
The BSF said that Bishin Sangma is brother –in-law of Hirul Mondal and is also involved in smuggling of phensydle to Bangladesh. It was also revealed that the consignment was collected from a person in Cooch Behar who is a dealer of Phensedyl.(SP News)
