Shillong, June 02: The Border Security Force Meghalaya Frontier organised an `IFTAR’ party in Umpling BSF Camp, Shillong during the holy month of Ramadan.
The BSF sets an example of communal harmony, by hosting an “IFTAR” Party and send a message across the country that BSF is not only the sentinel of International Border but also spreads sense of unity and pride in the composite culture of the Country.
On this pious occasion, senior BSF officers and other members from different religious lines gathered at the Gym Hall, BSF Frontier Headquarter Umpling Camp. They also offered prayers before sitting down to savour the meal.
Mr Kuldeep Saini, Inspector General BSF Meghalaya Frontier also participated in the above occasion. He urged everyone to spread peace, love and harmony during this holy month.
He further stated that “The Function organised by the Border Security Force, Meghalaya Frontier is a step towards uniting different communities”. He also conveyed his best wishes to all troops and their families for forthcoming `Eid-ul-Fitr’.
