Shillong, March 29: The 04 Battalion of the BSF Meghalaya in its efforts towards ensuring wellbeing of bordering population, organized a medical camp under Civic Action Programme at bordering Villages Muktapur and Jaliakhola Dist- West Jaintia Hills on 27 March 2023.
During the camp approx 400 patients were attended by BSF doctors. Awareness campaign on hygiene and sanitation was carried out and wheel chairs were also distributed for the physically challenged villagers.
Besides health check-ups, BSF also distributed various needful items like Water purifiers, stationary items, dustbins, water tanks etc to the needy children and villagers of both the villages. The program was attended by a large number of people from the local community who appreciated the noble efforts made by BSF.
Mr. Devinder Singh, Commandant 4th Bn BSF also inaugurated two sports clubs at Villages Muktapur and Sanghat to which complete sports kits were given .Total six sports clubs will be opened under Civic Action Programmes at different Bordering location. BSF Commandant said.
