Shillong, Oct 20: The Office of the District Tuberculosis Officer, East Khasi Hills District today organized a “Food Distribution on Community Support Scheme for TB Patients” at Social Service Centre, Bishop’s House Laitumkhrah.
The programme aims at sensitizing about the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme and the newly launched Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (PMTBMBA).
It also aims to highlight the new initiative of the Central Government towards Community Support for TB patients. It will also enhance the larger impact in sensitizing about Tuberculosis which is an infectious disease that affected the district, state and worldwide.
