Shillong, August 04: The villgers of Mawiong near Tynring apprehended seven dacoit from Shillong By Pass at around 11.Pm last night and handed it over to the police at Mawdiangdiang out police out post.
On Saturday night E Kharkongor and R Kharmalki of Tynring village when to drop their friends to Thangshalai village while returning back when they reached Mawiong they were blocked on the road by one truck bearing the registration number AS01DC 1965.
The people who were in the truck loot them Rs.700 cash, mobile, and Car type, the occupant of the Bolero in form the locality of Mawiong and they manage to catch hold seven of them and only one escape the driver of the truck known as Hamles Kurbah of Nongkliew.
The villagers ha handed them all to the police of Mawdiangdiang plice out post this morning.
The seven person who were arrested by the villagers of Mawiong were, Raymon Warjri of Mawlai Mawdatbaki, Headingson Kurbah of Nongthliew, Lamphrang Pakyntien of Mawlai, Samkisoh Shabong of Nongthliew, Lamdingstar Kharkrang of Krang Village, Klossing Rani of Mawumkah and one minor boy of 16 years. The court has remade to four days police custody.(SP News)
