Shillong, April 04: The Khasi Student Union (KSU) on this awakening day asked the State government of Meghalaya to implement the Inner Line Permit or they will start their agitation, this was stated by the president Mr Daniel Khyriem.
Addressing the public gathering at Motphran, Mr Khyriem said that the organization got their demand of implementing the ILP in the year 2011 bu the state government is not sincere in implanting it, the KSu is aware of the fact that is why the organization demand from the government to implement otherwise they will call for agitation.
The Chairman of the NESO who is the former president of the KSU said that as the “ Jaidbynriew” we should control the business, we should rule by our self and in any others activities, we should understand that this is our land and we should not allowed others people to control it.
On this awakening day the procession started from Nongthymmai Madan Iewrynhep and ended at Motphran. The KSU has taken this 4th April as the awakening day since 1993 but the celebration this year is more special because the organization has reached 35 years since it was started in 1978.(SP News)
