Shillong, Sept 11: The night road blocked call by the NGOs to put pressure on the government to implement the inner lime permit in the state has mark with many incident of arson and the police also have arrested many people who are suspected in various incident.
The incident that has took place in different part of the state, today 11 at about 1.15 am, unknown miscreants attempted to set fire to one Maruti local taxi ML-05D-1311 belonging to Md. Sohrab at Nongkhyriem, Nongthymmai, shillong.
On the first day of the night road on tuesday night, unknown miscreants set fire to the Veterinary office at Riangdo West Khasi Hills District as a result, curtains of the office were burnt. At 11.30 pm, unknown miscreants set fire to one truck ML-05G-2625 at Laitkor in East Khasi Hills . As a result, the vehicle was partially damaged.
At around 11.45 pm, unknown miscreants set fire to one motorcycle ML-05B-9851 at Lower Mawprem, Shillong. As a result, the motorcycle was gutted. at about 7 pm, unknown miscreants pelted stones at a shop at Nongthymmai, Shillong. Miscreants at around 7.10 pm, unknown miscreants pelted stone at a shop belonging to Shri Sujoy Datta at Rynjah, Shillong.
The ADM smti D.M Suja, lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that on Tuesday around 9.30 pm, while conducting patrolling, three KSU activists, namely Wilson Ryngkhlem (26 yrs), Kitboklang Lyndem (24 yrs) and Rishal Nongsiej (21 yrs) were apprehended from Upper Motinagar, Shillong. Catapults and pellets were recovered and seized from their possession. At around 11.30 pm, unknown miscreants set fire to one truck AS-01CC-2959 at Laitkor East Khasi Hills as a result, the vehicle was partially damaged.(SP news)
