Shillong, Sept 07: The office picketing call by the NGO to protest against the government decision not to Implement Inner Line Permit (ILP) has affected the government offices in the state capital and in the entire district headquarter in the state.
The picketing call by the NGO today went off peaceful with out any untoward incident reported from any parts of the state. In the District officer headquarters most of the staff is reported only in the Deputy Commissioner office.
In the capital city Shillong, all banks were closed and many government offices lood deserted most of the office only the head of the department are attending office. From the police they have taken up strict Virgil to see that no one will obstruct any public or government employees attending office.
The principal secretary home Mr K S Kropha told SP news Agency that the over all turn up in the government offices today is more than 50% in the capital. About the District Headquarters report is yet to recived.(SP News)
