Tura, April 14: The gun battle was taken place between the Meghalaya state police and the militant outfit the Garo National Liberation Army at the village Koksi in East Gro Hills in this incident two GNLA members where gun down by the police.
The police claim that many GNLC members where injured in the encounter and the two slain GNLA members where knows as Nangrepa and Imre. The police is yet to get the actual names of these GNLA.
The Police belief that the Commander In Chief of the GNLA where also present in the area during the encounter but he manage to escape. The police recover huge quantity of arms and ammunition from the GNLA Camp.(SP News)
