Meghalaya Chief Minister ingurated PRIME Hub at Pyndenglawar in Nongstoin

Shillong, April 15:  Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma, today inaugurated PRIME Hub at Pyndenglawar, Nongstoin, today in the presence of MLA, Nongstoin, G Wahlang, MLA, Rambrai, R G Momin and officials from the district administration.
Speaking during the occasion, Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma, said that the objective of having PRIME Hubs across the state is to create livelihood for the people. “There is immense opportunities in the rural areas of the state, there are different strengths that our people have with different sectors producing different products but no support to train them or provide them with the technology in processing, packaging and providing market accessibility,” he said and added that the newly inaugurated PRIME Hub will be a centre for training, supporting and skilling women, farmers and youth.
The PRIME Hub is a strategic investment in west Khasi Hills uilt with an investment of Rs 5.92 Crs. It is a modern aggregation and processing facility. The hub will be anchored by the Pyndenglawar Intergrated Village Cooperative Society (IVCS), reflecting the State’s focus on community-led and cooperative driven economic development. This initiative is powered by the Community-Public-Private (CPPP) model. It focuses on value chain creation, local winery products, medicinal and aromatic herbs, floriculture and ginger value-added products and is expected to benefit over 3500 farmers.
