Shillong ,Nov,20:Quami Ekta Week and Administertion of Nayional Integration Pledge was administered at the main Secretariat Building ,Shillong , 19 November 2013. The Chhief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma administered the National Integratiion Pledge.
Meghalaya chief Secretary , wms Pariat gave a short intrtoductory speerch where he mention that the entire week wikllbe observe as a communal harmony and national ingration . He further said thad our country is a mosaic with people of different caste ,tradition and religion and it is our duty and responsibility to crete a sense of belonging to the nation.
Before the administering the pledge Dr Mukul Sangma said that the national integration week is being observe to remember the birt anniversary of the late prime minister MRS Indira Gandhi .Our nation has a population of 1.2 billiion , which strengthen the economy of the country and contribute for the growth of its resources ,he added.
Unity and integrity canbe strengthen and achieve only when we come together ,said Dr Sangma.
All the Officer and staff were present to reaffirm and rededicate the integrity of the nation.(SP News)
